Default Cisco/Linksys WRVS4400N 2.0

Please Login to Remove!

I had hardware/software version 1.0 and it worked flawlessly with all of my Blackberrys on WIFI, until it died.

Replaced it with Hardware version 2.0 and Firmware 2.0.0.8 and for whatever reason WIFI usage on my 9700 is spotty.

The 9700 always connects as evidenced in the 9700s WIFI Diagnostics. When I use services that utilize the Blackberry Enterprise Server like Viigo, and the Blackberry Browser, service works only 1 out of 5 times. If I switch to BIS or the Internet Browser, things thunder along, but obviously slower since I am using AT&Ts 3G network as opposed to WIFI.

If I connect to other Access Points or WIFI routers, things work great. Its just version 2.0 of the WRVS4400N. And before someone suggests I load old firmware on the router, hardware 2.0 requires firmware 2.0.

Any ideas?

What type of security you using on the Wi-Fi might worth to remove it or dumb it down for the time being.

Possible disable Wireless N.

Disabled Wireless N. Fixed!

Thanks for the tip. Maybe this router has multiple radios and the Wireless -N radio conflicts with B and G. I dunno.

I Don't think Wireless is a real standard yet so I wouldn't rely on it too much yet.
