Default Memory card size

I'm sure this has been covered here, but I need a definitive answer. What is the largest micro SD card I can use with my Pearl 8100 running 4.2?

Also, is it possible to upgrade my Pearl to 4.3, and if so, how?

Thanks!

4.3 is not available for the Pearl.

Memory card size is very commonly asked; it even has its own FAQ page - What type and size Media Card can I use in my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

Thanks. I see that 4.2 only supports up to 2gb. Does this mean a 4gb card won't work at all, or would I just be able to use 2gb of it?

Not quite true.

4.2.0.xx will support up to 2gb card.
4.2.1.xx will support up to 4Gb card.

If you have the latest OS on your device then 4Gb is the max.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have 4.2.1.94, so I guess that means 4gb is OK.
