Default Used phone but diffierent Sim

my friend gave me his BB 9300 , it is unlocked and everything but the thing is that i cant use bbm or the app world, ive done some research and found out that i have to have a blackberry plan or something like that , dose any one know how i can get that or is there away around this.

Your research is correct. And there is no way around it. Call T-Mobile and have them add a BB data plan to your account and send the proper service books.

BB's need service books for many things such as email, BBM, Internet, etc. Once you get a BB data plan, your carrier, T-Mobile, will automatically send them as part of the activation process.

The simple answer to "what is a service book" is it's the key in the lock to open the door. No key, no access to the application function.
