Default Bold only grey lit up screen, Dead battery or screen?

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, so here's the story.

I bought a Bold from a friend who f*cked it up, I thought it was just a connection or a nuked device.

Now I've done a few things, First of all, I tried to put another battery in, that gave as result that the phone kept rebooting (LED activity only, it stayed on for 8 seconds, then went out, and then back on) NO SCREEN LIT UP.

Now, I've tried to nuke the device a couple of times with the MFI loader, and nothing happened, everytime I try to put up a new OS, it hangs at the second step (waiting for device initialization), I tried this with, without & with another battery.

I tried to put in the screen of the broken Bold into my working Bold, which caused my Bold not to start up anymore, after putting my normal screen back in, everything went fine again.

I tried to put the working screen into the broken bold, nothing happened, it just went rebooting (with no screen lit up).

Now I've put the broken bold with the (broken)screen into the charger and it lit's up very weak, it's less bright then the picture shows.
It's been like this for allready 2+ hours:

Sounds like a bricked device. You do know the MFI software that you used is illegally pirated software, right? Furthermore, it is known to brick devices if you don't know what you're doing.

I know that about the MFI, but I think anyone who wants to save his precious berry would do anything to save it.

So can I fix this device?
