Default How much data using messenger?

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if it's in another thread but I didn't see anything when I searched...

I don't understand the "data count" on using the BlackBerry or MSN Messenger with your phone.

I only get 0.5 MB per month and I mainly use it for e-mails (get/send maybe 10 or less a day on average).

So if I wanted to use the messenger too, how much of my 0.5 MB would that take away? Is there an estimate of how "big" a messenger message or conversation is????

Thanks!

PS - This IS what the PIN number is for, right? BB Messenger?

you only have a 0.5 MB plan??

if you have the unlimited plan, then you dont need to worry.

yes the pin number is for the BB messenger

I would say you will probably go over your data limit even without using messenger. 0.5mb really is nothing at all.

But that doesn't answer your question ... all of the messenger apps use minimal data, less than email.

Is it feasible to move to a larger plan even unlimited??

The PIN can also be used without BB messenger..

You can send a message to any BB user via the PIN. Some users dont have BB messenger, so would be be able to be contacted.

Try it, you compose the message just like an email....

Would you believe Rogers doesn't have an unlimited Data plan?
I already have a voice plan I don't want to get rid of, and the most data you can get through Rogers is 200 MB for an additional $100 per month.
Unfortunately I don't have kind of $$$ to spend when I'm really just using the data for fun, for now.

i just checked out rogers BB plans and they are so out of touch with what the rest of the world is doing. anyways, i'd just stick to IM'ing and email. Don't go near the BB Browser, or you'll go over your limit very quickly.

Rogers does have a deal on right now... half price data and unlimited for the first 3 months. Might be worth checking out.
