If by Outlook you mean, Microsoft Exchange, yes. I've updated the topic to further clarify that.

Sdr 146580
Anyone know what the actual error that pops up that the SDR 146580 portion fixes? We are running 4.1 SP4 with MR2 and ever since 4.1 SP4 we have started seeing issues with the old "You cannot respond to a meeting without an organizer. You must add an organizer field to the item." popping up. It is consistently with Blackberry users only. To save time for those that love to help, we are running Exchange 2003 SP2 with the DST hotfixes, so KB892560 does not apply.
Also, I don't know if you guys know it or not, but Microsoft highly suggests turning off all delegates from auto-processing meetings as "tentative" as it can cause issues. We took the suggestion corporate wide and a lot of calendar issues dropped off the radar. If that is the case, why does RIM do so with Blackberry users? Unfortunately when I contacted RIM they told me that it could not be turned off. Can we say option in the registry at least?

No "Remote Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults Policy"?
Gents,
I've installed SP4 for BES for Exchange, after that the MR2 and MR3. According to the article at BlackBerry - BlackBerry Support | Knowledge Base, Product Documentation Software & Support Programs KB14202 ("Remove an IT policy from a BlackBerry smartphone") new policy called "Remote Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults" should have been created. This is a new feature which gives us an option to remove IT Policy from a handheld which is so useful while using many IT Policies level at one BB domain... The problem is, in my case, that the policy was not created at all. I just wonder what is your expirience with this feature, if you can see that policy and if not, how do you handle with removing IT policies? Any suggestions why the policy was not created?
Looking forward for your replies.
best regards

I just spot-checked 3 4.1.4 servers all at different MR levels and they all have this policy setting. You're not seeing it under the Security Policy Group almost all the way down the list?

Remove IT Policy continues...
That's really anoying...
I can't see the policy, but maybe I look at wrong place...
BlackBerry Domain -> Global -> Edit properties -> IT Policy -> IT Policy
Administration -> IT Policies
Is it correct? If not, please put here correct path.

You're not going far enough....
BlackBerry Domain > Global > Edit Properties > IT Policy > Administration > IT Policies > {choose policy to edit} > Properties > Security Policy Group > 'Remote Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults' = True.

Remote Wipe to Factory Defaults
Thanks for your advice. Now I know how it works.
I will try it out on Monday with a few strongly protected (LOL) handhelds I was trying to restore to factory defaults like hundred times with no results...

3rd party applications still there....
Applying the policy that wipes the handheld to factory defaults doesn't remove application like yahoo messenger. Do I make it right?
1. Assign IT Policy (Remote Wipe Reset to Factory Defaults)
2. Erase and disable handheld is send to device.
3. Device is wiped.
4. 3rd party applications still there... :(
Any suggestions?

Software
I use BlackBerry Operating System Downloads - BlackBerryFAQ to download the lastest software for my handhelds (8700f in Orange, Poland). I use DM ver. 4.3. The software I use currently is T-Mobile 4.2.1.107 because the lastest for Orange Poland is 4.1.0.391, and the T-Mobile was the lastetst for 8700 I have found. Would you suggest a better way to deal with software updates?
thx for backing me up

You need at least handheld version 4.2.2 for automatic removal of third-party apps.
