I am using Blackberry Desktop software 5.0 bundle 1675 to synchronize my BB8530 with Microsoft Outlook on my computer. I only use it to sync the calendar and contacts and on the calendar config settings, I have it set to "upcoming calendar entries only".

However, it always wants to delete 50 or 100 "past" items from my device, and I don't wish to do that, so I always have to cancel the sync. What's up with that?

Can anyone help me?

What you have sync set to do is not in fact what you want. You should change the setting to sync items in the past as well.
