Linksys Router - no DNS?

Before I switched to the T-mobile Linksys router I had a DLink DI-524.
This v.cheap wireless router assigned DHCP addresses, and it also provided basic DNS services for those DHCP addresses, so that any box on my local net could find any other box via hostname. The router gave each dhcp client it own address (192.168.0.1) as the DNS server. I was happy.
The new Linksys t-mobile version does not appear to provide any DNS service whatsoever. My local devices cannot find each other via hostname, and they show my ISP (external) DNS servers instead of the router's address as the DNS server. This means all DNS requests are going to the external network, and there is no local DNS. This is really messing up some of my local wireless devices. I am sad.
Does the DI tmob router provide DNS? Maybe I should switch, even though everyone says the linksys is the better choice...
