Default unlocked all the themes - info

Please Login to Remove!

Well, I just unlocked all the themes I found and loaded it back up :

BB Dimension Icon
BB Dimension Today
BB Dimension Zen
Cingular (white back)
O2 Today
O2 Zen
Orange
T-Mobile Zen (white one)
T-Mobile Zen (blue default one)
Vodafone Today

and... guess what... functionality and quickness-wise the default T-Mobile Zen is the best one of them all haha.... so if you are looking for something different I suggest just sticking with that one and adding your own background image...

EDIT : for all you girls out there or guys who have girls with the Pearl unlock the white T-Mobile Zen cause it is pink colored highlights and menus colors yet the same as the default blue one we all have... it will get you a few bonus points from her!

The white T-Mobile ZEN theme is the theme which will be used by T-Mobile for the european launch of the device.

Pretty simple. I loaded the new rogers update though so I believe that is why I have some additional ones. Just locate your blackberry.alx file and you will see the themes listed. Change all the ones for 8100, the Pearl, so the vendor id is whatever carriers you are on. For example, tmobile is 100, so you can change them to 100 for the other themes which are for the pearl. Save the file, open DM, load the changes and there they are.

how do you locate the blackberry.alx file? If you could post a step by step for us noobs, that would help a lot.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\

in there. if you can't find it, upgrade your blackberry software. (original install doesn't have this folder)

lol it seems the T-Mobile Zen (blue) is the only theme to merge Email and SMS all in one button (messages)

in all other themes, the messages icon is pretty much useless since all it shows you is email. i have an email icon. i'll use that.

i like the T-mobile (White) theme though sine its an icon menu instead of a colum menu like the blue version. i switched back to the blue version since i like the merger or email and sms.

if anyone can show me how to merge email and sms in any other theme, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Any screen shots of the white t-mobile zen?

Is this possible on a mac with the beta Pocketmac for the 8100? (Don't want to mess up anything)

I wish it was easier to add theme's without having to delete and add things to files, /end laziness

not really adding themes but more unlocking them since they are hidden from the user.

Maybe all the cool brand colors were already taken.

BTW, atisvt99, I'm curious: what's your w'n'w application do?

Haha... it's funny how many people notice the pink! Hmm... I'm going to say it't not 'pink' in color... but 'Salmon!' :p

The w'n'w is my Web Browser... not sure why it comes up as that, but it's the only browser there. and it works just fine.

w and w stands for web and walk. Which is basically what they call t-zones overseas.

No, that is not completely correct. t-zones over here in Europe also exists, but it as WAP-only browser, where as the Web'n'Walk browser on the BB is the equivalent to the BlackBerry Internet Browser.

Laugh at the pink if you will, but I have noticed that about half of the posts in this thread speak to it-it's all about brand recognition. If people remember it, good or bad, it's a good thing.

Officially, it's referred to as Magenta, by the way...and I'm not a huge fan of it either...
