POP emails pops on Bold

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere and eager to see if others have noted.
When I receive email on my main, desktop BES, it arrrives immediately.
Under the Bold, OS .162, I receive other emails - those relating to the accounts I use online, like gmail - also immediately, always beating my desktop outlook which polls every five minutes.
This is a definite change from my 8800 which was said on this board to poll every 15 minutes.
