Ok, I have tried several animated themes and all of them seem to kill my bold. Some to the point where it seems to freeze my bold into a state of shock! So, I have a few of questions:

1) Is anyone out there using an animated theme?
2) If you are, what impact has it had on your phone?
3) What animated theme has the least impact on performance?

1- Yes
2- Some slowness. I dropped the theme and got another.
3- Don't know that.

What theme was it that you used?

I forget the exact name, it was rotating picture of the earth. Quite cool, too. I loved the look.

I bought a burning fireplace, called Flame, from bplay

2) If you are, what impact has it had on your phone?
Completely froze the BB up, and I found the design ugly

3) What animated theme has the least impact on performance?
Looking for one; hopefully free
