Is there any way of making the Blackberry display the correct time.

Mine is always around 3 minutes slow.

Many thanks in advance

Blackberry does not update the time by it's self. YOU need to go to OPTIONS, DATE/TIME, change the date/time source to Blackberry. Then hit the MENU button and scroll down to Update Time. Hit that and it will be perfect! Do this about once a week if you want the time within seconds. Once a month for within a minute or two.

Enjoy!

Greg

Many thanks indeed. I have done what you suggest and the time is perfect to the second.

As clearly there is something that tells the unit what the exact time is, it's a pity that the unit can't be set to look for this automatically.

Best wishes

I thought that if you choose "Network" for "Date/Time Source" it would sync time off the network.

Hi Nick, not a problem. I have an Atomic CLock in my office and the Blackberry time is the same to the second. You just need to do this every once in a while.

Well it would seem that that would be so but that is not the way Blackberry/RIM works. Just like it does not change the time when you enter and leave a different time zone, the clock is not reset automatically. You have the choice to use network or Blackberry time for when YOU reset it. I have found the Blackberry time to be the most accurate.

You just need to do this reset thing every week or so.
