Has anyone on Verizon been successfull in installing Yahoo Go 3.0 on their Curve? I have been trying since I got it and keep getting the message that my 8330 is not supported, but the download page actually says it is for the 8330. Just a little confused I guess.

So it's listed in one place and not the other? That's not good. It may just be possible that whoever placed it on the download page made a mistake. Lot fo 8330 owners have not been able to use it.
I am having that same problem too. I guess I will just have to wait and see if it comes out specifically for he Verizon Network. If anyone figures it out, let me know.

I had the same problem. Could get out at all. Had to pull the battery then remove the application. I am looking forward to giving it a try when it is updated.
I am wondering if it will update and be compatible for the Verizon Curve. Yahoo Go has a maps and step by step directions function. Verizon may have disabled it because it competes with the Navigator program that they are selling. I hope not because I loved Yahoo Go on my old Q.
Yahoo just released the official version for the Curve. It works great. The maps app w/GPS works way better for me than Google Maps. BUT the backlight doesn't stay on...
Anyone know of way to tell BB to leave the light on when an application is open?

Are you getting GPS to work on a vzw 8330 or sprint?
Yes, it's on a Verizon Curve using an external GPS Puck of course since Verizon likes to cripple the onboard GPS chip so they can nickel and dime their loyal customers to death.
YG3.0 seemed to work wonders for me, previously, however now its stuck on an add for a Ford Truck and won't go anywhere. Apparently I can enter some text in a search menu at the top, but then the screen goes blank and I basically have to 'red button' it all away and just forget about the app. all together. I thought I about deleting it and reinstalling it, somehow. I am also assuming that it is constantly running behind the scenes, sucking up resources.
Anyone?
PS - Great app otherwise. As far as a push-button news provider, I totally enjoyed it - smoother than the Pocket Express stuff.
