Any possibility that this could change the theme too? I work on a team of 7 people and we handoff the phone about once a week and often spend a lot of frustrated time changing everything the way we want it.

Your program seems to activate profile but not deactivate. Do I need to just add another rule right after first one is over to go to previous profile?

When I was using this application, that is how I did it. Basically, I would have continuous/consecutive (but not overlapping) profiles throughout the day to account for pretty much every minute*.

Overlapping profiles was partially implemented by the author, if I recall correctly; but I found better success if I had consecutive profiles instead, so I stuck with that.

* I did not have rules cross over midnight (12 AM), instead I split that up so one rule ended at 11:59 PM and another rule started at 12:01 AM.

Yeah, the stop time couldn't be before start time. So how could I have the thing shut up between night and dawn? Also trying to download attachment from regular web mail (Gmail) and view PDF.

For Mon-Fri, I basically had something like this:

12:01 AM - 5:59 AM Vibrate
6:00 AM - 7:59 AM Normal
8:00 AM - 3:59 PM Vibrate
4:00 PM - 11:59 PM Normal

As you can see, it's on Vibe all night, Normal for a couple hours in the morning, vibe again while at work, and then on Normal till midnight. Adapt the times as you see fit (e.g. if you want it on vibe earlier, change the last one to end at 9:59 PM and add one more profile from 10:00 PM - 11:59 PM as Vibrate.

Default Can your app. automatically switch profiles based on calendar entries?

Hi, can you please confirm your app will do what I'm looking for? You mention it integrates with the Calendar, but I don't think it will do what I want from what I understand? It looked like from a glance of the documentation that I have to manually add one entry at a time into the Calendar and tag a profile to it.

1) Here's my situation. Rather than setting the phone to switch to vibrate (for example) from 9 to 5, I'd like to set it so that during meetings that I have in my BB's Calendar, it automatically switches from Normal to Vibrate, and then back to Normal after the meeting time is up.

That way, I have my phone on the whole day and it will ring, but during scheduled meeting times, it will vibrate only.

I receive many meeting requests via email, so that's how they get inserted into the Calendar, and sometimes I add them directly via the BB. Also, some meetings are recurring weekly/monthly.

2) Let's say the above is doable, can I override the profile and manually change it during the time? For example, if the meeting finishes early, manually change it myself from Vibrate to Normal?

Thanks.

For those of us with a BES, do we need to create a sofware configuration on the BES in order to allow keystroke injection? If so, what files do I need to copy to the BES to create the configuration?

I have been running it on my Bold for about 6 months or so, through about 6 different OS flashes...and it has been flawless. One of my most used apps, first on my 8310 and now on the Bold.

Cheers

Thanks!!!! Although as i'm understanding this, it won't auto switch when the device is holstered, correct? If thats the case then this won't work and i will need to find something else...

That is correct, but is not a limitation specific to this app, but rather a function of the BlackBerry OS. I do not believe there is a way it can be circumvented.

So how do you all handle this? I keep my blackberry holstered most of the time, any recommendations?

I always forget to change it to my work profile at work...

Athough I no longer do this, at one time I removed all my sleeper magnets from my holsters and adjusted my profile settings accordingly. It should also be noted that I don't lock my BB either.

Both this application and Profiler (by Toysoft) do notify you by vibrating that the application is attempting to change profiles while locked/holstered.

Default Scheduler

Hi, looking FWD to installing this app,

1. So if the phone is locked the program will not be able to change the profile but it will vibrate and let you know the program is attempting to change the profile and you will have the option to unlock and accept the change in profile?

2. Will the alarm clock still be heard if the phone is on "silent" ( I need to wake up at 4:30 for gym, but don't want spam emails to wake me up...

3.

You have to set 2 rules for an overnight profile.
Is this still true and please can you explain how this works?

4. Does it works on a Bold?

Correct.

It depends on which alarm clock you are talking about; BBSmart Alarms Pro and Adorno MultiAlarm play alarms independant of the profile setting, and Mobylo MultiAlarm uses a profile setting (so you have to specifically set the alarm tone in the Quiet profile). If you mean the Bold's internal alarm application, it too is profile independant and will work even if the phone is off.

You should be able to test it before purchasing.
