hello all, i also have problems with pearl connecting via bluetooth. When I try to pass some files from my BB to a Sony Ericcson W300 , I have no problem, But I try to pass files from my Sony Ericcson W300 to my BB pearl, I can't. I already paired them, Both phones find each other. I tried to look with services have each other to offer and the Ericcson W300 shows several services, meanwhile the BB pearl 8100 shows " No local services found". I already seach all the possibilities with the Bluetooth options, Like being visible or not. Cifrate option and no luck. I don;t know why this happens, I already connected a Motorola H500 bluetooth headset and np with pairing. Only with receiving data from the W300. Any ideas guys? Btw I have default OS on the Pearl 8100, 4.2..peace...

T-Mobile 8320. Received on 1/16/08
Samsung WEP-200 headset
BB OS Version 4.2.2.180
Bluetooth pairs and connects...then would terminate the connection within 5 to 10 seconds or as soon as I touched any button.
Was able to pair and connect with an 8320 in the T-Mobile store. I do not know the OS version of that unit, but it did hold the connection and operate just fine.
I sent the phone back and I am waiting for the new one to arrive.

I'm not familiar with that particular gps but I would say its definitely time to upgrade your OS on your Curve. That may help. Your OS is quite outdated.
Look at the top of the 8300 forum for a sticky with the latest OS for the 8300 (it may be from a different carrier but that's ok)

There isn't an official fix as it's not an official problem. However, many report that it works best if you leave the bluetooth LED enabled. Hopefully when the new OS's come out this won't be a problem anymore. Not sure yet, though.

bluetooth antenna randomly shuts off while connected to jawbone headset
i have a pearl 8130 from verizon. OS 4.3.0.60. i have my jawbone bluetooth headset (which is hands down the best headset i've ever used) paired with it. randomly during the day, i hear 3 beeps in the headset and i look at the phone and the bluetooth antenna is magically turned off.
i explained this to verizon tech support about 4 different times and they had me run through a bunch of useless (in hindsight) troubleshooting steps such as wiping the blackberry, downloading new software updates from their website, uninstalling all third party apps, etc. after all this, i finally asked them to send me a new phone as mine is less than 2 months old and the problem is very frustrating. it's disheartening to know that this wasn't a bad phone but rather an apparently widespread issue that we all clearly need RIM to address.

When you say have the bluetooth led available do you mean just having bluetooth active on the phone?

Blueant Z9 Pairing w/ 8700G & Samsung A727
So I previously had a Jabra BT5010 that had no issues pairing with both my 8700G and the A727. It just wasn't loud enough when I was driving at high speed or next to a semi. So I purchased the Blueant Z9 due to the fact one of it's main features was that it could pair to three devices at once. Has anyone else had success with this? It seems I can only get it to pair to the BB if it's not paired to any other phone. I had both working last night but turned all devices off for the evening and in the morning it would only work with the Samsung. I wiped and reset the phone and still can only get the Z9 to activate on either the Blackberry or the Samsung. I'm using operating system 4.2.1.107 any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Ian
Update
Ok so I got the Z9 to pair back up with the BB but it will only pair to the BB or the Samsung...not to both....has anyone out there had luck pairing any headset to both your BB and another phone? If so what headset...I just want one that works, I really do like the Z9 it fits perfect and the volume and noise canceling is awesome. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a friend with a curve who had a M-1200 Holux receiver and liked it, so I picked up one for my 8700c when I read at least one other person had one. However, once I pair the receiver, if the connection gets interrupted for any reason (even at random) I cannot connect, even after a restart. I have to turn off bluetooth, then turn it back on, delete the device, and re-add it. Then it works again. Obviously this isn't fun, but I don't see anything here that suggests a way to avoid this. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I had a lot of propblems with GPS+Bluetooth and OS 4.2. on BB 8700. I downgraded the OS to 4.1 and now I have no problems with Holux 1200.

Do you mean you have BBMaps 1.0.40?
If you don't have GPS and you don't use maps then there is no issue for you.

While it won't fix your bluetooth issue (there is no fix for that yet) its higly recommended you upgrade to 4.2.2.180 or .184. Many issues were fixed from that release version. Who knows, it might even help the bluetoh issue, but no guarantees. Some BB's have problems, some don't.

Update
I purchased the Jabra BT8040, it is pairing and working in unison with both my Samsung and Blackberry. I was skeptical at first about the fit in my ear but it fits great, doesn't fall out. I'm verry impressed with the Jabra BT8040, def recomend it to anyone looking to use with both their work phone and personal phone.
