It is a one-time fee though...some of the others have an annual subscription.

true if you look at all the paid service IM programs IM+ is the cheapest in the long run...

but why not try Ramble its free and works great plus the Developers at SRA are working on the clock to improve the software and taking users suggestions

In fairness to the developer, the client has worked flawlessly for me.

I'm one of the users willing to pay $45 for a GOOD stable IM program that connects to all 4 networks.

Ramble doesn't cut it for me. VeriChat needs to be more stable.

Soon I will be testing out others such as IM+ and YakOn.

Check out Configuring Internet On BlackBerry - WAP/APN/Gateway Settings from my BlackBerry FAQ link.

I purchased mine almost a year ago and have upgraded twice for free and I just think it is a great software. Currently have the IM+ 3.1

about your problem, what do you mean that you can't connect? You have to use the proper setting. I thought that just because I am NEXTEL means that I have to use BES.. only to find out that WAP was perfect for me.

I remember I used to not being able to connect and bugged Support at Shape, but I after trial and error on my own, I manually set up my WAP Gateway IP from the information from my Service Book under the
WAP Transport (Nextel) [WAP] ###.###.###.##
Port 9203. You can find this information through their FAQ.

I think the new one configures and test your connection for you.. which is good.

Definitely would recommend this software. Support at Shape is just awesome. If a star is mine to give.. I'll give 5 Star

Thanks Mark and Chinesecatt. I know I didn't give much information earlier, but I had read on previous threads (some just a few days old) that 4.0 doesn't support sametime as an IM client, so my question was to find out if anyone is using it with success.

My company uses Sametime so the goal is to not only have a stable IM program but also one that connects to my corporate "buddy list" so I can stay in touch when on the road. I went into my Desktop sametime and copied the server and port, but had no luck. I noticed on the shape service's FAQ that the required server needs to be the "remote server" used by my company, but I have no idea how to find this out.

Now that I know it works, its worth me poking around a bit more. Thanks for the help.

forgive the dumb question.. but how do I download the WAP version? I haven't previously tried it. when I go to shapeservices.com, there are BES and WAP versions for each download except sametime. Am Ii overlooking something?
