Once they are saved to your memory card. Open the media application, press the menu key and select explore. Locate the file and try to open it, it should prompt you to download it.

I downloaded some free English Dictionary app this evening. There was a .JAD and a .JAR file of the same name. The .JAD is only 1KB and the .JAR file is around 900KB. Could someone tell me what the difference is between file types? I'm assuming the JAD file is some kind of pointer/info file for the main contents in the JAR file?
hmmm, I just copied the previously mentioned files to my Ringtones folder, then tried other "media" folders and there is no Explore option in any BB Media folder. Is this something deactivated by Verizon in my OS 4.3.0.127?
** EDIT ** OMG, I'm a little slow on the uptake here... haha
In the Main Menu for the Media section, there IS an Explore option - I was in a submenu, like Media > Music or Media > Ringtones. Sorry for the confusion.
