Can someone recommend a good weather radar app for the BB? I've got The Weather Channel, HAMweather and Accuweather, but they don't have the local radar setting I'm looking for.

BerryWeather also has major issues - like not updating temps regularly... and not updating (my locations and those of several other users) between the hours of about 8 pm and 6 am the next morning.

They use some undependable weather service called Ham Weather... and their support site is very unresponsive - at least as far as anything useful is concerned. If you like reporting a problem and being told "be patient" and "it's not our fault - it's the weather service's server issue", then this is the app for you.

But the issues I reported DO affect more than just me. There are several threads on the BellShare site about the failure to update issue... There are other threads reporting that the temperatures/forecasts are way off.

You can add custom radar maps in this app - and for me at least, the custom radar maps (read: the radar maps NOT provided by the app or their weather provider) seemed to be the most accurate part of the app.

Feel free to try the app... just don't be disappointed if it doesn't work for you.

weather.gov which is brought to you by your tax dollars has the best local radar which is flash-enabled and zoomable. Bookmark your local weather casting site and you are good to go.
