Is there anyway to install the Blackberry desktop on an Android netbook or tablet? My husband has the 8530 and wants to get an Android netbook or tablet. Is there anyway to use his BB as a modem with either of them?

It is called tether. Not sure if it will work with an Android tablet or not.

There is information in the FAQ on how to tether. Worth a try. And BBs are not WiFi hotspot so that option is a "no".

I don't know if T-Mo requires a tether plan or not, but both AT&T and Verizon do to ensure you don't have a high/unexpected data bill.

I think I didn't make my question specific enough. I can tether to a windows machine, but that requires the BlackBerry Handheld Manager to be running. I haven't found a version of the BlackBerry Handheld Manager that runs on Android. Maybe I have overlooked it someplace? Or maybe someone has another idea that doesn't require it?
