It was one of the BES 5.0 sessions. They showed a new section that you can track the EA and if it failed on step (I think it was 1 or 2) it was likely due to improper provisioning. I believe they stated it would give error codes and the code would reference the SIM provisioning.

Sorry I don't recall the exact session but it was something like "What's cool in BES 5.0 for admins" .. as you know it was a bit of a haze those days

OK... I'll listen again. I know which one had the EA process, so I know approximately where to start.

I'm surprised you did remember. Thought you had too much Hootie in your system.

I'm hoping to go to WES 2009 .. it was a blast. They should make a meet & greet for all the admins as that is where I got the most information.

Did anyone get the invite for the webinar this week that covers the Provisioning process? I'm not sure if this will allow us any extra abilities, but...

Oh: It seems you want to know if the SIM is enterprise enabled, not the Handheld itself. In which case, I would probably vote Yes.
Device, including SIM is what I meant.
Would be nice to have user goto simple webpage and get yay on nay.

Technically, no Jibi, but one of my co-workers did, yet they are not even a contact on our T-Support contract. Either way, he forwarded it to me and I'll be looking into it. I think it's August 13 (at least the one I received) for T 1-3 support subscribers. Maybe yours this week is for the big customers

Listening to the webinar now and a few questions were asked about users or BES Admins being able to either provision or check provisioning. The gentleman who presented said he was unaware of any plans to offer anything to anyone other than RIM employees and wireless providers.

From the slides shown though it does look slick and would be a great tool. I wonder who asked those questions

he he he. He didn't say mine, but it was along the same lines. I think the infomration was good, but started to wonder what the point was. The terminology is good, but the target audience was hazy, considering we don't have such access.

It will be funny to call Verizon and verify that a device is not Prosumer provisioned or tell them what screen they need to check. That will freak them out, huh?

Well my rep said he's 99.99% sure the webcast today was for carrier / RIM only so wonder why it was pushed out to admins? Bummer. He did mention with Tx5 there is a web portal that provides some information along these lines .. anyone that high (maybe jibi?)

Funny story but I was once on a conference call (though wasn't told it was one) and I was like .. it's the stupid carrier and it's not provisioned right .. unknown to me the carrier was on the line and was like .. "Let me confirm that for you" .. I was like doh! .. but was right

there is a web portal (we have Tx5) but it doesn't provide much information, so far there are 5 webcasts up there and todays one on provisioning had no information other than the title "Introducing BlackBerry Provisioning v4.4"
