Default Error Code Reload Software 513

Please Login to Remove!

My att blackberry curve 8900 is currently locked up and saying "Error Code Reload Software 513." This happened after wiping out the the device from the handheld. How do I fix this error? If I need to download and install the OS what steps/links do I need to follow? Thanks for any help.

Check the yellow sticky at the top of the forum. There shoudl be the latest OS and instructions on how to load it.

Alternatively, you can load the OS that came with the device from the CD that was included when you bought it.

All of this magic happens using Desktop Manager.

Default When I run the loader, the PC does not detect the device

When I connect the 8900 the Communication Port select Connection is greyed out and the detect communication check box is greyed out as well. The device is on and says "Reload Software 513". Thanks for any help on what the next steps should be. Thanks Phil

This the link and steps DubDub is referring too.

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

Steps:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Follow them carefully.

but nowhere how to fix it or how others fix it.
I'm helpless.

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Instructions to install on ANY 8900 from ANY CARRIER.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

You wanted the update for you bold?! I gave you a link for the 8900 update. If that update doesn't work, I know why.

Sorry for not realizing that you wanted the update for the 9000. Only assumed you had a 8900 since you were in this section, my apologizes if it doesn't work.

Did you download the 8900 update or the 9000 update.
If it's the 8900 update I could imagine why it's not finding your bold 9000.
