Let me know if this works for you.

If not then try:

Go to Start > Run and type cmd <press enter>
Type cd c:\ <press enter>
Type del /s vendor.xml <press enter>

Then run loader.exe
Thank you so much for this post, that fixed my problem! There was another vendor.xml burried in the users folder on my machine. After deleting it, using your suggestion above it worked!

downloaded yesterday after a while of contemplation!
impressed! a lot snappier than .411 which i had been on,
only took half an hour in total to update too and that was just a load and install, no wiping device,
oveerall, good one!

I'm going back to the previous version, 5.0.0.411. This was way too slow for me and the battery life is worse.

Unhappy

Does anybody know or can guess as to why RIM is sooo slow in officially releasing v5.0? On their website, the official update is still 4.6

Adrian, RIM doesn't release OS releases to the public, the carriers do. RIM leaves that to the carriers for the their own certification and training, and then release.

I have done the upgrade and everything looks perfect except for the syncronization with Outlook.

For some reason I'm getting an internal error #4238. Cannot open database on device.

I've tried to reset the mail profile, I've tried to replace all contacts from Outlook into the device and vice-versa and nothing is working.

Any more ideas?

Thanks.

Are you saying you lost your theme? If so, you can go to options/theme and re-activate or download a new one. Thia happenned to me on an 8700g upgrade.

If that were true, then how come v4.6 is on BB official site? At some point there would've been lower version than 4.6. Not to mention that both our devices and the website have update feature. One would think that whatever version is put on the website would be the official, stable, release, no?

i believe clicking on that DL link will bring you to the carrier selection page where you will get to download the versions of the software that the carriers have released.

no, dont loose the theme ken, just the wallpaper for the main menu, is okay on the home screen but as soon as you press for the menu you get a white screen, only takes 30 seconds to fix with ooptions today instead of zen and then exit and reset it, but was a bug on .411, prolly needs a wipe and reinstall but at the mo, i can live with it!

Is it possible that your PST file is corrupt in Outlook? You might try http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...210641033.aspx

I've just find out the problem. Looks like the DM cannot syncronize with my BB when the BB is not setup with ENGLISH as the main language. When I've switched to ENGLISH the syncronization was perfect. Strange because I've always used my BB with portuguese and never had this problem before...

Hey guys.
My sister did this on her 8900 a few days ago and just realized that some apps like Memo-pad and Brickbreaker are missing. I told her that they should be on the Application List on DM but they aren't there. Any adivse?

Default Have problem with 8900

I use it in Viet Nam.
It's work finr.
But when some body call me if I use call log to call back this number , it has a +1 before the number .
For exemple the person call me has the number 0905555555
if i use call log it is +10905555555
I must punch the number 0905555555 to call to him .
How can I setup or fix it .
Thanks
