Default Broken Scroll Wheel

Please Login to Remove!

This is a pretty small issue in the grand scheme of things, but my scroll wheel broke on my 7100g. I can scroll, but I can't click. This hasn't caused me much trouble, as I can still receive phone calls, receive and send e-mail, etc., but the one thing I can't do is play Brickbreaker. I can't pull up the menu to start a new game. Does anyone know if it's possible to make the menu pop up using a keyboard shortcut?

Like I said, I know this is a minute problem, but I play in the evenings, and I've gotten kind of addicted. I appreciate any help you could provide.

well you should be able to get it fixed through your service provider, they have a 1 year warranty , dont see why they wouldnt replace it

I appreciate everyone's responses. I took my wounded BlackBerry into Cingular (my carrier), and they gave me a number to call. Since it was within warranty, they sent me a brand new one and I sent my broken one back to them.

Man, that's cool. RIM has gotten better. Back in the day, you would be without your BB for at least a month or so.

I know someone else this happened to. The problem was so baffling that the particular owner was in a conference call with T-Mobile AND RIM and ended up getting a new BB.

Wirelessly posted (My sword: BlackBerry7290/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Since we talk of trackwheel.. I just came back to the 7290 and my track wheel doesn't work that good when scrolling up.. Its almost like its tight.. I've tried working the wheel excessively when my berry is off, it seems to help a little bit, I know I'm under warranty (4) days old, but I just want to avoid getting a new berry and installing & upgrading the os again... Any suggestion on getting my track wheel loosened up and working flawless when I command 'up scroll'..?

How sturdy are the trackwheels? My problem is just the opposite of tathapilots. It seems as if my trackwheel has become more loose and moves more freely over the month I have had it...I guess commuting and playing games on it doesnt help

Please do not post twice.
Answer is the same as in the other post - no; no way to send e-mail without the trackwheel.

Default 7100t broken scroll wheel

My 7100t scroll wheel has gotten to where it will not go one direction very well. I have to go several clicks just to move 1 or 2 menu selections. how difficult is it to get a spare part and replace yourself? My 7100t is way out of warranty and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on it. It is functional but irritating....
