Question Personal Folder Messages Not Available

Please Login to Remove!

Hello! I am a new Blackberry user who needs some help with an issue. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I would like to view mail on my BB that resides on a local (non-BES) personal folder. After reading through this forum, I understand that messages must be moved from the Inbox to my personal folder for my BB to "track" the moves/deletes. When I move a new message into my personal folders, no problem, my BB sees it.. But it still cannot see "old" messages (messages I received prior to having the BB handle mail.)

Even when I try to move messages from my personal folder into the INBOX, and then back into the personal folder, my BB doesn't see the message.

Thanks in advance!

The only way to get "Old" (pre BB) messages not transfered in the original BES Sync to the BB is to resend them I.E. Forward them to yourself.

Hope this helps.

Seeing as how remarking them as new does not accomplish this, I am assuming that there is some type of mapping file that lists all of the preexisting emails (pre BB). I have hundreds of email that would require forwarding.. the time requirement to accomplish this, not to mention losing the time/date stamps, wouldn't be my first choice.

Forwarding is the ONLY way I can accomplish this?

Too bad this isn't possible.. no third-party apps are available to accomplish this?

It is a bit odd, considering that older email can be sync'ed to the hadnheld during an enterprise activation. However, otherwise the Blackberry never really syncs email. There's definitely no way to sync to a personal folder since those folders are local to your desktop (even if you choose to store the PST on a mapped network drive).
