Default Unwanted network messages - repost

Please Login to Remove!

We are receiving 30 to 40 of the following per day per BB. Our set up is as follows:

No BB server, Lotus, Exchange or Groupwise.
We are using [email address] for email which is used in an alias.
[email address] goes to [email address] on the network then is forwarde to blackberry.net.

How do I stop these from coming in?

TIA,

Rick

Try searching with the phrase "This message is used to carry data". Should help you out.

Nothing in the search except my posts. The thing is that they worked fine for a few days while we were not getting these messages, then they started coming in.

Are you using the Blackberry Internet Service? If so, remove Desktop (CMIME) service book from your handheld. Options, Servicebook.

Hi and welcome to BB Forums.

You woke up a thread that is 10 months old. I would assume that the problem is resolved...

i'm actually still having this problem.. i use 3 email accounts that are setup through tmobile's blackberry setup. and one business account that is tied to my Microsoft Exchange Server at home... a machine at home is using redirector to send me those emails. The Exchange server is not setup for web based access unfortunately ....

however, the majority of the passed messages are appearing in my IMAP account . that is setup through tmobile.. any ideas?

I feel like I am duped into this and your post might not be real, but I am on the line, so why bother pretending I'm not a fish?

I think it sounds like an error as to how you set up the desktop redirector. I think I recall having this set up in this manner before.

I think you want to uninstall the desktop redirector and then install it again. Pay close attention to the options you have when you are installing it. If you tell the system you have a BES, it will start to send those messages (I think that is it).
