Default New release of BIS, new features on the way....

Please Login to Remove!

According the RIM should be available by the end of April, how long it takes the carriers to move across is a different matter....

Continue to open attachments on the go for popular attachment formats such as JPEG, BMP, TIFF, RTF, Microsoft® Word, Excel® and PowerPoint®, Corel WordPerfect and Adobe® PDF. And now BlackBerry Internet Service will support the RTF file format and the ability to view PDFs in addition to PowerPoint presentations in a convenient slideshow format!

Continue to set-up to 10 email accounts with your BlackBerry® smartphone and now experience 2-way synch with Yahoo!® Mail.

Organizer functionality now supports wireless meeting requests (iCal)* as well as electronic contact attachments (vCard) on your BlackBerry smartphone!
* Requires BlackBerry smartphones with software version 4.2 or greater.

With the new Auto-Forwarding feature, you can have a copy of email messages that are sent to your BlackBerry email address (i.e. [email address]) automatically forwarded to another third-party web mail account (such as Yahoo! Mail or Gmail®) so you can view the message from your desktop

Sounds like this is nothing more than speculation at this point, unless someone can find some current official news from RIM.

The person who started the thread indicated that the 2.2 BIS would be available by the end of April.
Can anyone confirm this from a reputable source?

The information is from an e-mail sent to me by RIM last week it came from Blackberry Dealer Care it's a monthly newsletter called Blackbery Vision. I can't find an online version of it but I get it every month.

And now BlackBerry Internet Service will support the RTF file format and the ability to view PDFs in addition to PowerPoint presentations in a convenient slideshow format!
