I just got a blackberry yesterday.. and I got it because all my friends had it.. Turns out i needed a contract.. and i bought a prepaid sim card with $30... Why does blackberry have to make bbm soo hard to get.. this is just STUPID!!! i fu#*ing hate blackberry!! can anyone help? do u have bbm with a prepaid sim? or any tips?!

Perhaps you made a bad decision.

FYI, you need a BlackBerry data plan to use BlackBerry data apps, such as BBM. If the plan is only offered on contract, then that is why you need the contract to get the BlackBerry data services.

This is not stupid, at least not the data plan. The BlackBerry is not a regular smartphone. The advantage of a BlackBerry is the data service. The hardware is just the user interface for those services. BlackBerrys are different.

You are misdirecting your hatred and vitriol. The fact that you need a contract is an issue with your carrier not with the BlackBerry.

Oh and posting with profanity is a good way to increase your credibility. NOT. :(
