So today my co-worker tried to do an enterprise activate for a user and received the message "retrying" over and over. After troubleshooting with RIM they came to the conclusion it was becasue of our licenses being out of compliance. We currently have 309 licenses and 676 users on our BES so we are down 367 licenses. Sprint owes us some 400 licenses for this new roll out but have not given them to us yet.

On a side note we also recently upgraded from MSDE to Sql Server Standard 2005 and are seeing sluggish performance. I never see over two BlackBerryAgent.exe running at a time even though we changed the reg key. The RIM rep we talked to said that until we get our licenses up to snuff the BES will still see the database as MSDE and not SQL.

Currently we deleted about 10 users and was able to activate the user we had problems with earlier. We are getting on Sprint to send us the licenses so we can be in compliance also. I was wondering if anyone has had any similiar issues with extreme out of license compliance?

Did knot know that it was possible to do that unless you had a special SRP.

Yeah, that's the exact document I followed to do the upgrade. Still have yet to see more than 2 agents spawn and our mail is hitting our Blackberrys about 30-45 seconds behind Outlook sometimes. Will be interesting to see what happens when we get all of our licenses.

I have the same issue, we moved to full SQL and I made the registry edits but when I restart the services the registry setting is changed back to its original value.
