I was always reluctant to go to the Treo, but it had everything I was looking for (except a rock solid OS of course).

So I have been itching to go back.

I can't see it with push to talk but I looked at the crimson curve at ATT tonight and I can't see why it wouldn't have push to talk on iden.

Eh... Suretype is Qwerty... take a look at the 8130 keyboard and tell me what the order of the keys are. On mine, they are Q W E R T Y , etc.

Suretype keyboards are Qwerty. They just aren't full-sized keyboards where each letter has it's own key.

I always refer to Suretype keyboards as Suretype, and normal sized keyboards as QWERTY. I would never refer to an 81xx as having a QWERTY keyboard.

The irony of this statement is funny to me.
To me, there's something strange about using inaccuracies in order to clear up confusion.

You agree that you'd never refer to an 81xx keyboard as being Qwerty... however, it is Qwerty.
Wouldn't that lead to more confusion?

most people know when you mention qwerty you are talking about a full keyboard and when you say suretype then you are refering to a small condensed keyboard.

straight from RIMs site SureType® QWERTY-style keyboard with SureType software (Keyboard)

Yeah, I agree. That has always been the 'lingo' as I understood it as well.

So l will edit my original post to ensure that there is NO confusion.

Do you synch with a corporate email server? Which data plan do you have to have -- I was told that you can use just the $15 plan Basic Vision plan.

Welcome to the forums!

You will need a BlackBerry data plan to connect to your corporate BES. This is not included in the basic vision plan.

I agree with this statement as well. A lot of my users are not really tech savvy and assume QWERTY means 1 letter per key. I try to keep things as simple as possible for them. They understand suretype is more than one letter per key.
