Default Did I lose my calendar entries?

Please Login to Remove!

Last week I installed Desktop Manager to my new laptop. I installed version 5.01 because 6.0 kept crashing. When I plugged in my curve it told me there was a device update available. I performed the update and after it rebooted I noticed I had no calendar entries. I restored the data from the backup file created prior to the update. Result: no calendar entries, past, present or future. Finally, I tried an advanced restore in the backup data file it showed no entries on the calendar line. I did the same using a backup file created in June and the same result: no entries on the calendar line.

Question #1: What are the chances of getting my calendar data back?

Question #2: Where did I go wrong?

Aside from the backup, are your calendar entries found anywhere else such as on phone, but not in Outlook? If so, you can do a one-way sync.

No, the calendar entries aren't anywhere else. They are not on my phone (I'm assuming) because it deleted everything during the upgrade. I was never able to figure out how to sync my bb calendar to Outlook- it just never worked- it synced everything except the calendar.

What version of Outlook are you using?

Generally, there's a settings section in BB desktop manager where you can go and specify what program you want calendar/contacts/notes/tasks to be synched with. Might want to take a look at that to make sure the appropriate program has been selected.

I am using outlook 2003, as I was before.

I am now using BB Desktop manager 5.0.1 and I don't know what I was previously using.

Tonight I performed a backup and then looked at the data and it showed entries for the calendar, so it seems like it is backing up the calendar now. I have no idea what I was doing wrong before.

I have resigned myself to just rebuilding my entire calendar.
