Default Calendar reminder & snooze - how to change sound, flash LED???

Please Login to Remove!

I never hear my calendar reminders go off, I usually keep my BB in the holster, is there a way to 1. change the sound for reminders 2. flash LED 3. increase volume ?

Also, does it sound & flash LED for snooze as well ?

Thanks in adv

Go into profiles and click on edit the profile. then Calender change it to what you want (keep in mind there are two places to change in holster and out of holster) all can be done through this in every BB I have dealt with. I am 95% sure this will work with the 8800. this should answer all your questions.
Hope this helps.

Just to add
If you go into your Profile settings and then go to advanced. While in there you press the Black Berry Key and create a new profile (in case you ever want to switch back to a original profile). Give the profile a name and go crazy with the settings. As you can see there is almost everything for in and out of holster and LED flash, when a message is received.

TO have your LED blink all of the time you need to go into your options and change LED coverage Indicator, under the screen/keyboard settings, to be on. Your LED will flash green when you have coverage and red for events (calls, messages and e-mails, reminds ext…)

I usually leave this off so I don’t know about the snooze settings…I like sleep so I have my phone downstairs in the off position.

There is also a third party application called Blackberry Alerts which can have the LED blink different colors for different type of notifications. currently they don't support calendar, but there is a reminder event (not sure what that does though). You can find more info about this application in the After Market Software forum.

I wasnxxx8217;t able to find Blackberry alerts for the 8800 from Handango though I did find it for the 8100 down so support may not be guaranteed.

Handango does not necessarily have it marked properly. It does work on an 8800 which is what I use it on (and can't live without it). There is a link in the forum for the latest version which you can give it a try before purchasing it.

This is my first BB. Does anybody know how to associate sounds to a calendar reminder? The flash LED blinking does nothing for me, I need a sound. Thanks

Go to
profiles> normal [or the active one]> edit> calender>... out of holster/in holster... there are three options {none, tone, vibrate, vibrate + tone} pick one of these that has tone. Make sure that the volume is not on mute and pick the tune you want to here.
hope this helps...

Do you have a reminder on the calendar event?

yes, same length as default. I have been able to get e-mail alerts to work, but not the calendar ones. Is there another on/off control? I have been through the profiles, individual event, and calendar options menus.
