Default Cancel Mapquest ..no money back

Please Login to Remove!

I have a yearly subscription with mapquest. I tried to switch to another blackberry and was told that: per the license agreement they would not do that.

Fine... I told them to cancel my subscription. I was informed that they would cancel, but I could not get any refund on my years subscription.

Just thought I would pass this along ... buyer beware

Update:
I advised them not to AUTOMATICALLY renew my subscription (still have to pay for the rest of the year) this is the reply I received:

Dear customer,

Please accept this email as confirmation your subscription to MapQuest Navigator has been canceled.

* Please note: You will be ineligible for any free trial periods going forward*

Nice customer support!

Good to know. I've never had problems stopping and starting my monthly subscription with Telenav (or switching devices).

As long as you have plenty of time to waste on the phone:
  1. TeleNav will not allow you to cancel via their web-based account manager!
  2. Tier 1 CSRs cannot process a cancellation request!
  3. By the time I waited on hold for my call to be escalated to someone who could take action, 35 minutes had elapsed!

I recently cancelled my TeleNav subscription as 5.1.1.30 does not work with OS .69 (Garmin Mobile 5.0.0 does, however). From CS escalated to billing, no lengthy questions, or problems encountered. Received a a service confirmation number and refund to be applied within seven business days within ten minutes.

I have switched my Mapquest subscription to three or four different devices with no problems- they just told me to redownload the software and enter my validation code. it has always worked fine for me.

Funny. I've always just emailed them without any hassle. Perhaps their policies changed?

That's interesting. I was looking through their EULA and can't tell if device switching is allowed or not...
