It's actually pretty easy - when someone browses a web site using their BB Browser, their OS, browser version, etc. etc. is logged on the web servers. So, when someone (RIM? Carrier) tests a new version, it MAY have gotten logged.

ohh, aha, didnt think of that.

well then i can only hope that there is a better version coming out soon so the sms bug would be gone and also the blackberry app world would be running on it (im in a restricted area)

We use the Vietnamese and we really do not need to be upgraded to current 8xxx OS 5.0, but we want the 8xxx phone they are using can be used without Vietnamese fonts as corrupt now ... I hope RIM will do something to help us in the matter as well as the Vietnamese language uses common code unicde on OS 4.5 ...

And it's the latest known release number.
I know the initial post states latest know "unreleased", but in this case the latest released outranks the latest unreleased number which we know of.

So, same difference in this case. If you have a later release number in Beta... I'd post that.
