Who is missing their Curve?
Please Login to Remove!
Just curious...I am about a week with the Tour. So far things are Ok, but not great. No themes, creaky/loose back door, sound not as good coming in or going out, some programs not working, weaker reception, etc. I keep looking at my Red Curve laying on the desk remembering how everything just flat out WORKED on the Curve. It is a work horse. The only advantages so far for me is a better camera, screen, and a little faster web, not much though. So who else feels that way and have thought about switching back to the proven winner?

I love my Tour, and have no plans of going back to a Curve, although I do miss the Curves form factor.

Same here, no problems at all, the best BB I have owned so far. Themes and programs will come with time, like all other BB's.

I probably will switch back until the kinks are worked out. I miss the strong vibrate of my curve and don't like the random long restarts for no reason and the battery door. Its a shame because I really want to like the Tour.

I miss my Curve a little bit, I get it out and look at it. I miss the theme on it. But I have no plans to ditch the Tour and go back to the Curve. I love the Tour and am not having any problem with it.

If I miss anything it would be the form factor. I'm not going back though.

I really really like my Tour. To fix the little bit of play on the back door, I cut two small pieces of 3M single sided tape (the kind that has a little bit of padding on it) and put a piece on either side of the inside of the back door, it's as tight as a drum.

I think I may go back to the ole'faithful 8830. I'm tired of losing data signal and having to pull the battery every other day.

Let me understand - you're not going to use your Tour because the battery door shifts a millimeter and it doesn't vibrate enough (mine vibrates fine)?
As for random long restarts, you don't mean random crashes, do you? I've never heard of a Tour crashing. Mine hasn't locked up once under very heavy use with a whole slew of applications. You mean it takes a long time for it to boot, right? How often do you reboot your Tour? Once a week, maybe? What does that have to do with anything?
I don't get this post...

The vibrate is very weak on mine, especially compared to the curve and it crashes randomly. Probably 5 times or so it just restarts on its own while I am typing an email or looking up a contact.

With every Blackberry I have owned - and I think that is over 6 now - the vibrate on all of them really started weak and then got stronger over the first two weeks of use. Has anyone else experienced this?
It could be that I just got used to a new model, but I am pretty sure the vibrate got stronger after it was broken in. Also, I do wear mine in a holster on my left hip.

I miss Google Maps a bit, but BlackBerry Maps fills in nicely. No satellite view, but I can live without that.
I upgraded from the Curve to the Tour largely for the keypad. I came to Sprint and the Tour from AT&T and the Bold. I loved the Bold dearly, feeling the keypad was the best ever on any mobile device. What drew me to Sprint, after researching the network coverage in my area, was the Palm Pre. So I ported to Sprint from AT&T, activated a Pam Pre, and enjoyed it - for about a week. Then I began missing all the email conveniences of BlackBerry. After another week or so it was clear to me. 2 weeks on the Pre was it. Tons of potential, exciting new device, great multimedia functions, but it ain't no BlackBerry. The keypad was poor as well. So I'll keep it and switch off occasionally, just to see where Palm takes the whole WebOS thing, but I'm sticking (again) with BlackBerry. Ran right out and bought a Curve 8330m. I knew it was only a place holder for the Tour, but I couldn't take another day without my BB. I never got used to the Curve's keypad though. Too many typos with it, so the Tour couldn't come out soon enough for me. Feels like I've scratched an itch, way up in the middle of my back. Ahhhhh.....
