Default Does my carrier support new bold 9900?

My carrier offers BIS and BES.
Is there any risk that it does not support Bold 9900, however?

Does the carrier support the frequencies that are on the 9900 that you have ? I am not familiar with Tcell as a carrier so that is the real question.

In any case, if they do not carry the 9900, you may not be able to get any tech support from your carrier or the correct service books for all of the RIM related services, such as email, BBM, etc.

If they don't sell it, they don't support it. That doesn't mean it won't work, but you might have a tough time getting service books for lots of the features.

Dear Rambo47
I am newbie to BB. Are the service books stored on the phone or the sim card? What if I use the phone on a 9900 supporting carrier outside my country in order to get the right service books(I am in Dubai at the moment). Will the service books from this carrier work on my carrier?
Thank you in advance.

Dear Dubdub
The frequencies are ok, the question is about the service books.

No need to post the same question twice.

Service books are stored on the device itself. You will need service books from your carrier. If you use it with another carrier, you will need to cancel your account and you BB Internet Service with that carrier before you are able to set up BB services (email, etc.) with another.

Since you are new to the device, I recommend you buy a device that is sold and supported by your carrier.

I learned that my carrier offers BB 9800, which is OS 6. Can it be concluded that, they may also support OS 6 based BB Bold 9780?

Why not ask your carrier?
It will be much easier than asking a group of volunters who are unfamiliar with Tcelll..

In general, they support what they sell.

I called my carrier and their answer was: we support any unlocked BlackBerry. So I am now typing these on my new bold 9900. Thanks guys for your answers, they eventually showed me the way to find answer to my question.
