Default Which email service for 7130 on Cingular?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a new 7130 owner, and so far it rocks. However, I'm on Cingular and I'm trying to figure out which email service to use. I'm leaning toward Yahoo unless you folks have other suggestions...

I have my own email domain.

I started with Fastmail.fm, which I've used for a few years and which has lost a lot of luster with me. I was using imap. I also forwarded everything to a gmail account because searching in fastmail was so slow. I've also grown tired of fastmail's numerous outages.

With the blackberry I decided to have BIS connect to my Gmail account, but while I get email quickly there is zero reconcilliation. This is annoying. In the process, I moved my domain to point to a Gmail account as an experiment, but I wouldn't hesitate to move it again if necessary.

So, I'm thinking of starting a Yahoo account, because it seems like BB on Cingular has the best integration with Yahoo. But as I said I'm open to suggestion...

Anyone have a really great email service they want to recommend?

Ok, I've done some more experimentation and found that fastmail does in fact reconcile, but only when I hit the "reconcile now" menu item. It may do it automatically when it polls for email, which takes a while because it sure isn't push!

Gmail definitely does not reconcile in any direction, in any way. I do get push, but nothing else.

I was going to try Yahoo, but I've read several places that Cingular doesn't support push on Yahoo mail...anyone have any experience?

That’s not completely true.

That's just an option that takes one minute to shut off.

How so MrKyoo? Would you please explain how my BB is reconciling with Gmail?

Neither of those links discuss MY blackberry, which is not reconciling. I know that others (certainly on networks other than Cingular) are enjoying these features. I need to know if I need to take this up with Cingular (which is likely to be a long process) or if they just aren't available.
