Hello all,

I've done a quick search (both side-wide and internet search) and was unable to locate an answer.

I seem to be having an issue with the Home Screen icon updating at all. Unless, I physically go into the program the home screen icon will just stay at the last icon I left it on.

I am using The Weather Network Super App

For example, I check it last night at it was 19C and Clear (moon symbol), today at 1300 when I check looked at my home screen it was still showing 19C and Clear (moon symbol), until I went into the program and then it changed to 15C and A Few Clouds.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

I had a BB weather app on my deivce and in order for the icon on the home screen to update i had to enable that in the settings of the application.
Home Screen Update was the option. Do you have any options available in the software?

Have you tried a new theme?

Is the weather app compatible with your current OS?

Yes "Show on Homescreen" and "Homescreen Icon" are both ON.

I only have the 1 default theme on my blackberry (I tend to delete the rest of them to save space). I will definitely look into that option.

As for the developers website (http://weyebb.pelmorex.com/BlackBerry/) it indicates it is available for Blackberry Touch-screen enabled devices running OS 6. However, I'm going to delete my current app and re-install in an attempt to solve this dilemma.

To follow-up:

I have since re-downloaded the application and subsequently downloaded a "Weather Theme" and still the weather isn't being updated.

I'm going to try leaving the application running in the background to see if it requires the application to be running to work.

I also use Weathereye (as suggested on the theweathernetwork.com site), I assume that this is the same program your referring to. Since the latest update it has stopped updating on my home screen as well, I never had an issue until the most recent update (version 2.4.4.3) so it may be the program and not you or your device. I am looking at Weatherbug as a replacement.

I have just resolved the problem. You need to leave the application running in the background (do not close out of the application).

What I did was open the app and "Switched Applications" out of the application and thus leaving it running in the background. Since the application is still running it will still update the icon and weather condition.
