Default Reset password

Please Login to Remove!

I'm sure I haven't forgotten my password but I have just put a new sim into my 9810 and it has asked for it and says it is wrong (it did this last time and I had to wipe the data).

The email shown on the BB is correct so I have gone online and reset via an email I was sent (I do not have wifi or a data package to do it on the phone).

When I enter the reset password into the phone it still says its wrong. I've waited about half an hour and still wrong.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure exactly what your doing but if you enter the password wrong multiple time the blackberry will wipe back to a factory level.
Once your BB is there you will have to redo any apps or other things such as email. If you dont have a data plan you cannot get email or use the internet so you only have a simple cell phone and nothing more.

The SIM card does not control the password.
Did you find the BB?

I have reset the password from my laptop (with a dongle).

i do not have a data plan on my phone.

So do I need to go to a wifi spot with my phone to log in using the 'new' ID password?

With no data plan, Wifi will not work.

OK, I thought I could browse using a wifi connection.

So, back to my original question. I've reset the password on the net. I have my phone. It won't accept the new password. What next?

Without a Data plan the OP is trying to do something that is useless.

Ok, let me go through it again.

1. I have moved to another country.
2. I have put a new sim in the BB.
3. I want to use the phone.
4. When I restarted after inserting the sim it asked for my ID password.
5. I entered the one I thought was correct.
6. BB error message says it wasn't corrent.
7. I changed the password at BlackBerry ID Password Reset (I can't enter urls) using my laptop.
8. After waiting an hour I tried the new password on my BB.
9. It did not work.

So. Do I have to go to a wifi spot to enter the new password on my phone?
The fact that I don't have a data plan may be a problem but it doesn't make what I am doing useless. I want to use the phone and BBM.

Let us go through it again:
1. You need a BlackBerry data plan
2. You need a ACTIVE data connection (WiFi or mobile) to enter your BlackBerry ID password as it must be checked against the server
3. In order for WiFi to work properly you need a BlackBerry data plan
4. In order for BBM to work, you need a BlackBerry data plan
5. You need a BlackBerry data plan

ENIYE,
1. Don't hijack someone else's thread with an unrelated issue. It is considered bad forum etiquette.

2. Please post using real words and not 'text speak'. It is difficult to understand when you don't use real words.

3. If you don't remember your BlackBerry device password, then once you enter it incorrectly the set number of times (typically 10), then device will be wiped and you can start over. Hopefully, you have a backup.

4. If you are saying that you don't remember your BlackBerry ID password, you can try resetting it using the "Forgot Password?" link in BlackBerry App World.
