Default Latest OS: 8830 4.5.0.201/4.5.0.135 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

This will load on ANY carrier's 8830 by following the instructions below.
This is only for the 8830 model

Software For BlackBerry® 8830 World Edition smartphone

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.201 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.201
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.135
* Software Platform: 3.4.0.28
* File name: 8830uAMEA_PBr4.5.0_rel201_PL3.4.0.28_A4.5.0.135_Sp rint.exe
* File size: 82.14MB

Download here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...BB765225CE8C0E

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 8830:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Previous OS here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

Except, so far, from Verizon. But now with two official versions out there, maybe Verizon will follow sometime in the next year!

If someone could post a list of changes from 127, it would be much appreciated.

I had to remove my Micro-SD chip to keep the BB from locking up; I believe it
is an indexing issue related to folders created with DM to organize my
pictures & music; continue to monitor device for memory leaking..

I had the same problem with 4.5.0.127. I keep hoping they'll fix it.

That an the fact the standby/mute button doesn't work as it should when the are music files in the Now Playing list. That bug has been there since the first 4.5 version I tried.

Did you send the service books to your phone? Yers, even if email is working, you need to resend to make html working.

WOW! Just installed and this version is better that 127. I'll have to use my device over the weekend to see if the memory issue is any better.

Still at 17.4M after 4 hours of doing nothing but email;earlier I ran Navigator for a short time and then BB maps; free memory dropped to around 14 M and never recovered after
I closed the apps; it appears that the memory is not being released (as it should be) after the apps close..I did a battery pull after running maps/Navigator to get back up to
17 M free memory
