I just noticed that im currently not getting any voicemail or vvm notifications. Is there a reason for this? I could be getting alot of important voicemails without even knowing it... could this be an issue from the carriers part of end? just give em a call?

Yeah I had like 2 voicemails dated back to a few weeks ago and I never got a notification. I even tried it myself by using my house phone calling my cell and leaving a voicemail. The voicemail notification should of came up instantly, I waited and nothing. Any ideas?

Ok, so i called the customer service for t-mobile & spoke to a rep over the phone. She didnt really solve my issue, all she basically told me to do is call my voicemail and set notifications "pager" to ON. so i did exactly what she said and now when someone calls me & leaves a voicemail, my phone will page me. im not looking for a pager kinda deal, just looking for the instant icon thats supposed to pop up instantly once i receive a voicemail... any help, id appraciate it. thanks

I had the same problem and the people from T-Mobile did not how to fix it, but I suggested to remove my voice mail from the system, pull the battery from the phone for a lease 5 minutes have them put the voice mail back and that did it, problem fix, don’t really know why that happens but I believe there is a problem whit the Visual Voice Mail.

Ok wow. For those of you that are having the same issue, this is a good solution. So i dont know if its a carriers issue or a phone issue, but i took Moralased's advice and removed my battery for 5 minutes then took out my sim card for a few seconds. & what do ya know? its starts to work fine again! I swear battery pulls fix anything! but i hope this issue doesnt come back again... "knock on wood"

sorry guys, but i still have just 2 questions...

1. How do you seperate visual voicemails from the messages folder?
2. Why is the volume really really low? Is vvm just meant to look at who left a voice mail & then put your ear to the phone & listen?

I had this issue with no voicemail indicator or VVM on a 8900 with OS 5.0.0.411.

It started working when the 2nd level tech (Blackberry support at TMO, not RIM) went into the voicemail provisioning details screen (or the like).

The VVM name and message were also not syncing with the general messaging system as well (fixed simultaneously with the other issues).

This seems to be an issue on the TMO system, maybe provisioning.

Mine's working now, but they don't know how they fixed it, nor do I.

#1 - dont think it can be done.

#2 - vvm is meant to inform you of a voicemail, who is came from, and listen to it if you like. While listening, you can press the speaker phone key($) to hear it without putting the phone to your ear.
