I was wondering about the new upcoming 9780, specifically for T-Mobile. Is it true that the 9780 is basically a 9700 except for the OS 6 software?

I believe the video capture format is higher-res on the 9780 (though not HD). I don't know if this is simply due to OS 6. I have an 8900 too, and I plan to wait for the 9780.

Correct, the only diff is more room for storage/apps and brighter camera. at least this will give me OS6+

Since there wasn't really much RIM could improve on the 9700 phone itself, I'm more than happy with the coming 9780. Cant wait to upgrade.

Well, I guess I won't have to wait longer in any case. The 9780 is supposed to drop with TMO next month, so I will go with it instead of the 9700. The 5 MP camera is a deal breaker for me.
Besides, I've got a firm offer to buy my 8900 that will pay for the 9780, so why not get the newer phone?
