Default Can't register w/ Web Client Nextel

Please Login to Remove!

I called Nextel support, setup all my info, data services, etc. I go to the web client and enter my PIN and IMEI but it gives me the following error:

Service does not belong to allowed services for this customer

Please ensure you have proceeded to the proper service provider's activation site, as specified within the provided documentation.

Contact Nextel at 1-800-639-6111 for additional support

......Nextel doesn't seem to know anything about the blackberry so I thought I would try here. I have even sent the HRT with no luck. Plus I have no browser on my main screen. This has been going on for over a week now any help is appreciated. I have a 7510 with the latest software from Blackberry 4.0.0.160

First off the browser has to be requested by customers on all carriers except TMo I believe, so you will have to have them add that feature to your service..

As for the WebClient issue I'm sorry to say that they have to correct that issue as well as the notice states, call them provided that error they have their own admin tool for the webclient and a direct connection to the RIM NOC to make sure that your PIN is provisioned properly.

The web browser is for the 7520 for that answer people have gotten it to work on 7510s but you wont ever get that from nextel.

Is your 7510 brand new or second hand if its second hand the sim card may still be registered to the person you got it from.

You will only be able to receive the browser though if that SIM Card hasn't been de-activated in Nextel's Switches...

Had this same problem whit my wifes 7520, I don't remember what was done, but if you need to call about service for your BB, please don't call regular customer service, most of the time, they don't know what a BB is or what Web Client is.

BlackBerry Web Support has a direct number, this goes straight to Tier 1, if they can help, they will transfer you to Tier 2 or 3, avoiding regular customer service, here is the #: 866.265.8305

Also, I attached the Service Book for a 7520 Web Brower, I installed it on my 7510 using the Desktop manager Restore function. Here is what I did to get it to work on my 7510:

1) Back up your BB before install.
2) Then Install the 7520 Service Book with the Restore Function. You should not loose any apps, I did not. Wait for it to boot up.
3) Do a final back up, with the new Brower installed, so you will always have it.
4) Re-Send your service books from the Web client.

Before you do all this you will have to clear that error with BB Web Support.

Hope this helps you some, Good Luck!

Cool

Having a hard time keeping up with her, today she got home with a New headset, I think you have one too, the Scala 500, I think it is, plus she just gave me a truck for my birthday. And since I just got my son a 7520 too, I think it will be next month.

More than likely you are correct, but again a call to Nextel would have to be made so that they can track the PIN to the previous user to make sure that that account has been de-activated.

It was my brothers phone, he gave it to me because he upgraded to 7520. I will call the support number listed above. I thank you for all of your help.

make sure your brother releases the phone from his service through nextel or you wont ever be able to activate it.

I thought your problem sounded vagely familiar
