i posted a similar question earlier but here i m again,

scenario,

in my company we have 7 blackberries, initially all of them using BIS to recieve their work emails, then my network administrator installed BES and since then 6 of them are recieving emails through BES, the last user stayed on BIS and he was recieving emails as usual. this combination of BIS and BES was working fine untill last week, when the BIS user complained he is no longer able to recieve his work emails by BIS.

i've tried everything on his berry but nothing worked out, what i noticed that on the other blackberries is that none of the other work emails are working on any blackberry via BIS. and that BIS user cant be activated on BES for some reasons.

what can be wrong? Can BIS and BES work together in one company? is there any way to solve that problem?

Sounds like POP access might have been blocked keeping your BIS user from getting email. Just a guess.

It depends how BIS was setup initially POP or imap or OWA. Best way to find out is to talk to your sys admin and ask him if they change something in a sense of firewalls,ports etc. Why would you still want to use BIS over BES beats me though...

i am confused, plz help so far i know 3 ways to recieve emails BIS,BES and desktop redirector.

how do i setup BIS via Pop or imap. b/z when i setup email on t-mbile blackberry website...i dont get any option, all i entered my email and email's password and thats it. its using OWA(outlook web access) i don see any option to setup via pop or imap. how can i do it??

On the other hand, you said that user can't get active thru BES, most likely is because his blackberry does not have BES data plan with the service provider. I would recommend you to call the service provider, change the plan from BIS (Personal) to BES and activate thru BES
