Default Can someone give me direction..new 8900 locked up

Please Login to Remove!

I have an error message from trying to put on the theme that someone gave me.

I have a lot of stuff I dont wanna lose

The error mesg is very small, in the center, either App Error 523 (or 528)

It can restart but I get the same error, same with when I take the battery out.

I know I can do no security wipe because I am not able to get in the phone

Am I going to have to go to the Desktop Manager to fix it. Please if you don't have an answer, tell me that that will work.

Thanks for reading and any solutions

Wirelessly posted

Maybe that theme is not for your device. You can go into Options|Advance Options|Applications and remove the theme from there, then restart your BlackBerry.

I cannot believe that I am helping someone with such an avatar as Eric. Yankees don't suck.

523 System process died A critical Java process has terminated, and the device cannot continue to operate in a normal manner.

528 Corrupt file system. Unrecoverable. All data will be lost

In both cases, you'll need to reload the entire handheld OS again. And the data is lost, unless you have a good back up.

What happened prior to you receiving the error. A lot of times it's related to a 3rd party applications. If you connect your device to your PC, does DM recognize it? If so, I would go into App Loader and remove the most recent application you installed.

when this happened, I had just downloaded a theme someone had made/given me. It downloaded fine. I went to put it on, then I got this error

I was awaiting a response from someone, in particular Dubdub who had left me a mesg, and I took it that it was all done, that I had to use the desktop mgr like you said

Well, with that error still on the screen, it was not connecting, then I kept pulling the usb out of the puter to a point where it says "disconnected" on the outside border of the desktop manager, but it asked me to connect to connect to the JVM.....IT is standing there and doing nothing

Default I was able to wiping it

I used jl_cmder ... much easier than I thought

I just can't go online. I can make calls. Do I need to go into the store or go online

I have a small edge, it seems to me I recall one time 611 told me to go in and they would have to figure it out cause they couldn't LOL

I figured it out beforehand it was some option mobile setting turned off. That is not the one, i don't think

but if u can help...

...and thanks so far

Eric

AND PS DubDub It was the ORIOLES who sucked tonight

Try going to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu Key > Register Now.
