Is there a way on the BES, to limit the amount of data a user wants to transfer from their device? I know in "Edit Connection Service" you can limit the "Maximum Flow Control", but that affects everyone on the BES. What I need to do, is limit some people, because they are traveling and do no want to get charged for the data when they are international.

I gave them the option of disabling "Data Services" when roaming, but they still want the device to function as normal, ex. get emails and use the phone feature...but somehow limit the data.

We get the world phone data plans, cheaper than a one time over charge for the few that travel overseas.

They travel frequently, but not enough for them to change their plan.

What are the price differences? It probably isn't an option...

Honestly, everytime they go on a trip you will have to change them over and back again when they get home. Oh an make sure you do it after hours so the dont get cheap service until the leave.

Do you REALLY want to do that kind of work?

Only other way is to have them pay for the extra charges.
After one time they will turn off the data on their phone.
Well maybe after the second time, one user here is on his 3rd charge

Some of ours are infrequent travellers but the difference in tarrifs was not enough to worry about, they are all on an international rate.
