I have the 6.0 version.
Every time I connect my phone to the DM, it does a backup, even though it is set to only back up once a week. I had to choose to not backup to keep it from doing this.
Is there a way to stop this, or is this one of those things like the last version always checking for updates?

I found no indications or know issues on the RIM web site so I would try a removal and reload of the DM

Are you sure it is backing up or is it syncing?

It says backing up, and it's the exact same box that opens up when I do a manual backup.
