Thumbs down Anyone having issues with SmartPhoneDepot and trying to reach rcg???

Hi all. I am just wondering if anyone has had a problem with a order placed with SmartPhoneDepot.com? I ordered a 8700c leather case on 1/4/07 and still have yet to recieve it. I called, emailed and tried to reach rcg via AOL/AIM with both of the screennames he has provided here at the forums. It looks like he blocked me at one point because after IMing him, suddenly he signed off. But, when I signed on with my other screenname and checked his status, it said that he was available.

I really didn't expect this type of treatment from someone who is a sponser here at BBForums.

Anyone else have any problems with SPD and/or trying to contact rcg about their order?

Hmm...that is weird. Well, RCG has not been logged into the forums since the end of November, so I don't think trying to contact him through here would be an option...

That stinks that your having to deal with it, maybe if you waited until Monday or Tuesday since it is the weekend.

Let us know what happens, if this become unresolved that will make a serious impact on many of the members here as to whether we make buys from them.

I've dealt with SmartPhoneDepot many times and never had an issue, and have always received good CS from them. Hopefully this gets resolved.... Have you checked your order status from their webpage at all?

Hey everyone.

I ordered from SPD.com awhile back and everything went smoothly. But, for some reason, this time it didn't. I have tried to call, email, and IM RCG and SmartPhoneDepot on AIM many times but have not gotten any response. When I call all I get is voicemail, when I email I get no reply. I emailed RCG via AOL and I know he read the email because I recieved the receipt that he read it via AOL, but stil, no reply to the email.

Again, it looks like he has blocked me with the first screenname that i tried to contact him with, because when I try to contact him with my other AIM screenname, he is on, but I never get a reply.

A friend of mine here at the BB forums has had the same experience in trying to reach RCG and even went as far as to call their creditcard company to have them dispute the charges.

A recap:

I placed the order on 1-4-07
My CC was charged on 1-9-07
It looks like item was shipped on 1-10-07
No tracking number was provided for shipping.
Today is now 1-22-07
Estimated shipping was 5 - 7 business, which should have been 1-18-07 at the latest.

Still, with all of this, I have not hear anything from RCG or SmartPhoneDepot.
It is now 18 days later and still no item.

Wow...I have no clue what is up with that. I agree, you should have received the item already.

Did they send you a shipment confirmation at all?

No, I never got a email to confirm shipment. Only got an email to let me know that they recieved my order, which I knew once I saw that my CC was charged for it.

Still no word from RCG.

Same experience here. I ordered on January 10th, item marked as "shipped" on 1/19 with no tracking no. No one is returning calls or emails. I've asked that someone contact me on or before 2/1 or I'll dispute charges. Good luck to you.

This is very weird, I am actually kind of concerned about what is going on. It has been more than enough time for them to contact you back. Something is awry there. If I were in your shoes at this point I would push foward with action.

Hi Everyone. Sorry for not posting in awhile.


Well, I still have not heard from anyone at SPD so I called my CC company and they credited the charges back to wards my account and are now in the process of trying to contact SFD.

Since then I have ordered the exact same case elsewhere and I must say, I do love the case.

I just think it's a shame that who ever is in charge at SPD has not answered any emails or calls or done anything to try to fix the problem. And in my research, I found that I am not the only one who has had the same problems. I am probably just the only one that has decided to post about it here at the forums.

I recommended SPD to a friend and he ordered a case from them back in December. Pretty much the same issue. He placed the order, got all the confirmations and his credit card was charged. Then Smartphonedepot seemed to have fallen off the planet.

He never received anything.

Until multiple sources can confirm that thing are back on track with Smartphonedepot, they should be on everyone's list of places to avoid.

One of the mods mentioned this earlier in the week. I think we're trying to get in touch with SPD at the moment to see what's going on.
