Exclamation automatically moving email messages

Please Login to Remove!

I have a blackberry 8830 from Sprint. I receive my emails on it through a pop3 email. We do not have a blackberry enterprise server.

The way my outlook is set up on my desktop computer is that I cc myself on all of my emails. That is a setting that I need, so I don’t want to change that. But, the problem is that on my blackberry, I receive all of my emails in one folder. Both the ones I cc myself and the ones that other people send to me. I would like for all of the emails that are from myself to be automatically moved to a separate folder on my blackberry.

Is there anything available that would automatically check the “from” when an email arrives, and if it is from me, automatically move it to a separate folder? I am willing to buy an app, if it will solve my issue.

I apologize if this issue has already been addressed on the forum. I did do a search for it, but wasn’t able to find anything. I apologize if its here and I missed it.

Greatly appreciate the help.

All email goes into the main messages folder. Can't change it AFAIK, as it is how the BB works. If you were on BES, then EMPOWER might do that.

However, each email account that you have set up in BIS has its own email folder on the BB. Take a look and see, they may be hidden. But remember, once mail is deleted from one folder, the message is gone from all.

There is no way of doing this AFAIK.

If you were on BES, you could use folder redirection.

As a work around, you may be able to set up and save a search. Go to Messages > Search. Input the criteria for you cc'd messages.

Name = yourself
In = CC field
Subject and Message = Blank
Service = email account or All Services
etc.

Once it's set up, press the Menu Key and select Save.

Give it a Title of CC'd Messages and a shortcut key. Maybe C (for CC'd Messages?). Press the Menu Key and select Save.

Now, you will still see all of your cc'd messages with your regular messages, but if you just wanted to see your cc'd messages, then when in messages press Alt+C (or whatever key you assigned.

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but it's the closest way I know of doing what you want.
