If you go to the tmobile curve promotional page on the blackberry promo page for t-mobile under the contest to win a free blackberry it list it with "ARV" Approximate Retail Value of $499.99 so is it safe to assume this will be the retail full price without a contract for t-mobile when it is released?

it's a realistic price. Nothing more than the 8320 when it first came out.

And honestly quite a good deal, as I paid it 550 euros (roughly 750 dollars as of today) and I don't have t-mob UMA working!

That's about right. They're going for about $550-600 on ebay now (from Rogers sellers). Bolds are going for about $450-500. $500 is what RiM charges the carriers and about what Apple charges ATT for the Iphones.
