Default OS: 8700 4.5.0.304/4.5.0.181 (Multilanguage)

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.304 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.304
Consisting of:

* Applications: 4.5.0.181
* Software Platform: 2.7.0.108
* File name: 8700M_PBr4.5.0_rel304_PL2.7.0.108_A4.5.0.181_MobiT el_Bulgaria.exe
* File size: 79.01MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

* Download Software: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...30A8394B7218EF

Instructions for installing on ANY 8700 (regardless of carrier)

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."

If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

Default Why is my 8700R so damn slow with this firmware ?

I just updated and nearly every command egg times.... It makes the phone almost unusable. Hence the request in my previous thread for an older version of the firmware..

Default Multiple Calendar Issues in 4.5 Software

When I had version 4.2 there was only a default calendar. Now for every POP3 email account I have setup on the Berry there is an associated calendar.
When I now Sync with the PC via the latest Desktop software, I only ever get PC appts sent to the Berry and never the other way around.
In addition, my existing appts are labelled as "device default" and any new PC entered appts are labelled as my [email address] (and these never propogate back to the PC when changed on the berry).

So I guess I am asking how to get appts entered on the berry to be on the "device default" calendar as they may stand a better chance of making it back to the PC.
